The Press Corpse

The press scribble scribble every half-truth spoke then shoot it round the country like an April Fools joke

I stumbled upon this article last night, and am still not sure what to make of it, but it contains a lot of hilarious quotes. For example:

- "Scientists during The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) have achieved a attainment in fake chemistry"

- "The Baran laboratory has a longstanding seductiveness in a unsentimental and scalable singularity of formidable healthy products." All that's missing is the term "plane of immanence", and Deleuze and Guattari would have been so proud.

- “Previous fake routes to these compounds compulsory so many stairs as to be unreal on a vast scale,”

- And... they call me "a connoisseur tyro"

  1. I absolutely love that "quote" from Phil; I'm not even sure what "Previous fake routes to these compounds compulsory so many stairs as to be unreal on a vast scale, but we were means to come adult with a totally new strategy” is supposed to mean!

It also took me an unreasonable amount of time to realize that they just thesaurus'd the word "synthetic" and replaced it with "fake." CLEARLY the same thing.

    1. That took me way too long, too. This article would be why I (as a non-Serbo-Croatian speaker) don't write articles in Serbo-Croat.

  2. It saddens me that a human being took the time to write that article.

    1. I'm pretty sure they didn't. It looks distinctly Google-translated to me..

  3. I hope Phil has recovered from the massive blow to the head he took before saying this.

“We motionless to go for a many formidable member of a family, ouabagenin, that is substantially a many polyhydroxylated steroid famous on world Earth,” pronounced Baran.

  4. That site has shamelessly ripped off information from legitimate sites, including Kaiser Permanente.
Compare this page from the site: http://j.mp/ZzUktj

    BTW, congratulations on your blog!
